If there’s one sport that gives us a thrill at every turn, it’s Formula 1. And even though, unfortunately, in France we no longer have our beloved Grand Prix, car enthusiasts can still head to the Historic Grand Prix of France, held at the famous Circuit Paul-Ricard in Le Castellet. That’s exactly what the Astéria team did this year for the 2024 Historic Grand Prix of France.

On April 19-20-21, 2024, the world of Formula 1 and more gathered in the south of France for a memorable historic GP. With 15 races, including 4 Formula 1 races, and legendary names in attendance, it was a true cultural homage to motorsport that unfolded before our eyes.

And who better to return to the grid than Alain Prost, driving his McLaren M29? But there were also Jean Alesi, René Arnoux, Jacky Ickx, Franck Montagny, Stéphane de Groodt, and many others… The spectacular races in these legendary cars made it a highly meaningful competition held at the Paul-Ricard circuit, retracing the history of French GPs.

But even though the races alone were worth the trip, it wasn’t just about racing. There were parades of single-seaters, car clubs, paddock tours, F1 exhibitions, autograph sessions, simulators, and on the merchandising side, a large village entirely dedicated to selling merchandise.

The circuit also witnessed a beautiful tribute to the legendary Ayrton Senna, whose passing 30 years ago was highlighted in an exhibition space featuring his F1 car, paintings, photos, and the driver’s racing suits.

The Historic Grand Prix was a chance to see cars that made history, as well as the drivers who were behind the wheel. And for the fans, it was an absolute joy to get up close and see motorsport icons engage in magnificent battles. Attendees also had access to the track, rooftop terraces, and other exceptional areas of the circuit.

For parents, there were activities for children of all ages, ensuring comfort for the whole family: karting, small parks for younger kids, bikes available for family time, mini-golf, and simulators for older children. The Historic GP was designed with the whole family in mind, with a gas station offering discounted fuel prices.

Another positive aspect of this Grand Prix was its organization. Guided right from the entrance gate, you couldn’t get lost thanks to the many people helping with parking and directions. Numerous food stalls also allowed for easy and quick dining. In short, for all motorsport fans, don’t hesitate to get your tickets for the 2025 Historic Grand Prix. Speaking of which, the prices are more than reasonable: for just €34, you get a 3-day adult pass, and it’s €10 for teenagers born between April 25, 2009, and April 25, 2016. Finally, for any child born after April 25, 2016, the pass is… free! So don’t wait any longer, and head to Le Castellet on April 25-26-27, 2025.
