Dr. Martens : The Unexpected Collaboration That We Can’t Get Enough Of

2 mins read

Dr. Martens is not only a brand that we particularly love but also one that we never get tired of. Not only do they consistently deliver high-quality items, but they also have great taste. Known for their reliable quality, the brand has won us over with several collaborations, including one of their latest.

Netflix recently reignited interest in one of its most iconic series, which redefined well-known characters who’d been sidelined for far too long, thanks to the great Tim Burton. Wondering where I’m going with this? The Dr. Martens x Wednesday collaboration. If you haven’t heard about it yet, you can find it on Dr. Martens’ website. Our favorites? It’s hard to choose among the six items, though the Jadon Wednesday platform boots are our top pick. Next would be the Wednesday leather mini backpack and the 1461 Bex Wednesday platform shoes. The extra little touch? For those on a budget, there are the Wednesday high socks, priced at €22.

Dr. Martens brings us a heavenly collaboration inspired directly by the world of Wednesday, led by Wednesday Addams herself, now embodied by Jenna Ortega in recent years.

This isn’t the first time Dr. Martens has delivered a memorable collaboration—remember the one they did for Beetlejuice? It’s a true work of art in the form of footwear.

And then there’s Dr. Martens as a brand that we love for many reasons. A major bonus? If you’re vegan, their vegan collection is also a must for shoes and accessories. It’s a brand that’s persisted through the years; from the youngest to the oldest, almost everyone has heard of it.

The durability of their shoes speaks for itself, always guaranteeing lasting wear.

Returning to the Wednesday collection, there’s a range of platform boots that rise above the ankle with spiderweb motifs, low shoes with a striped black design that’s half-glossy and half-matte, and a bag matching the low shoes. Other pieces include heeled shoes with spiderweb patterns and low shoes with straps going up and a velvety base. Though the list is short, it’s definitely varied. We’re not exactly sure who to thank for this great idea, but we’re thrilled—as fans of The Addams Family and everything related to that world, there’s no doubt we’d love to have the entire collection, even if that’s not entirely possible.

Prices range from €240 to €200 for the shoes, €140 for the bag, and €22 for the gray-and-black striped socks with “Outcasts Are In” written on them.

Oh, and one detail we forgot to mention about the low shoes that are among our favorites: they have “Snap Twice” on the lace tags and “Outcasts Are In” on the side of the shoes. These little details make the shoes even more iconic. And remember how I mentioned Netflix at the beginning of this article? Well, they recently posted a photo on their Instagram of Thing, snapping its fingers as if to announce season 2, which we already know is filming. Could it be a subliminal message hinting that filming is done and that we’ll soon see season 2 of Wednesday? No one knows for sure, but it’s a good bet we’ll see this much-anticipated season around Halloween 2025.

So, we’ll have to be patient for the next season of the series, but to make the wait more bearable, you can always buy a piece from the Dr. Martens x Wednesday collaboration.
