Schitt’s Creek is so confusing that I didn’t even want to write an article about it. I feel it’s my duty to warn you before you waste precious minutes on this horror show. Unfortunately, it’s our friends at Netflix who are offering us this disaster, and the least I can say is that, for once, we will never recommend Schitt’s Creek!

A Tedious Story

I wish I could tell you the story was interesting, but in reality, it’s not. A deadly boredom took over me while watching this series, to the point where I thought death was coming to take me away. Schitt’s Creek is supposed to be a fun show about a wealthy family who loses their fortune and ends up in a small, picturesque town (kind of like The Land of Women). But here, unlike that series, it just doesn’t work.

Cliché Upon Cliché Upon Cliché in Schitt’s Creek

As I just mentioned, cliché after cliché, Schitt’s Creek could have been a show criticizing the lives of billionaires and poking fun at some unrealistic lifestyles. Unfortunately, here, it’s just boring, long, and tiresome. Watching Schitt’s Creekscares me more than a horror film, and that’s concerning.
The deadly boredom, the questionable jokes, everything is a disaster, and watching one minute of this show is just one minute wasted from your life.

Bad Taste Right Down to the Town Sign

If you survive the first episode and decide to continue watching (like we did when we wanted an opinion on Schitt’s Creek), you’ll get to the episode with the sign. Once again, obscene humor can be well done, but here, it just doesn’t work. For several reasons, it’s just awkward, and there’s no aesthetic value to it. It’s really hard to find anything good about this show.

The One Good Thing About Schitt’s Creek

The actress who plays the mother. This is honestly the only positive thing I can say about the show. Catherine O’Hara is one of the characters in Schitt’s Creek, and she is the only reason I gave this show a 0.5 rating. Unfortunately, despite all the admiration we have for her (whether it’s for BeetlejuiceHome Alone, and many others), here, she isn’t enough to redeem the show. We really wonder what made her take part in this awful project.

Are We Crazy?

The worst part is that Schitt’s Creek has a rating of 4/5 on AlloCiné and has over five seasons. We really wonder why some people put themselves through this, because we can’t express what we feel for this series other than a deep, immeasurable disdain.

Schitt’s Creek is, without a doubt, one of the worst shows of the century, and I will never understand the appeal of this series. Empty, uninteresting characters, a tedious and pathetic storyline—why not just burn everything related to Schitt’s Creek? Instead of wasting your time on this series, you should watch something better. And to help with that, we’ve written plenty of articles to give you some great ideas right here.

With a heart that beats to the rhythm of distant lands, Ataraxia’s passion for travel is nothing short of ferocious. She is drawn to the unusual, the offbeat, the places where most people don’t think to go. Whether it’s a hidden alley in a foreign city or a forgotten village nestled in the mountains, she finds beauty and meaning in every corner of the world.
