The long-awaited sequel to the 2019 hit, Ready or Not, is finally on the horizon. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come promises to continue the pulse-pounding story of Grace MacCaullay as she navigates a deadly new game filled with lethal adversaries and high-stakes challenges.

What to Expect from the Plot
Picking up immediately after the shocking events of the first film, Grace MacCaullay has survived the deadly “game” that claimed the lives of the Le Domas family. But her nightmare is far from over. In the sequel, Grace must navigate a more dangerous level of the game alongside her estranged sister, Faith. With four rival families vying for control, Grace has one chance to survive, protect her sister, and claim the High Seat of the Council that rules the world. The trailer, recently released, gives fans an early glimpse into the tense and thrilling world awaiting them.

Returning and New Faces in the Cast
Samara Weaving returns to reprise her role as Grace MacCaullay, the sole returning cast member from the original film. She will be joined by Kathryn Newton as Faith MacCaullay, as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, and David Cronenberg portraying members of the menacing Danforth family. Additional stars include Néstor Carbonell, Elijah Wood, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and Daniel Beirne, making for an impressive ensemble.

Behind the Camera
Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return to helm the sequel, with Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy back on writing duties. Most of the creative team from the first film has reunited to bring this high-octane follow-up to life.

Release Date
Mark your calendars: Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is set to hit theaters on April 10, 2026. While it’s not yet confirmed whether the film will be available in premium formats, fans can expect an intense theatrical experience. Production wrapped earlier this year, and early reactions to the trailer suggest this sequel could become one of the most talked-about releases of early 2026—seven years after the original film captivated audiences.

A natural-born writer and poet, Atanaria’s pen dances with a rhythm that only she knows. Her passion for the unspoken, the mysterious, and the forgotten led her to create The Nerdy Virginias—a publication that would later evolve into Asteria, a testament to her love for the hidden corners of culture. Here, she explores the fringes of society, where subcultures thrive away from the blinding lights of the mainstream.
