A new day, a new top list—you’re familiar with how much we love this exercise. We’re really into specific topics, like sitcoms, our top Netflix series, or the best Scandinavian shows, and treasure hunts have also become a passion of ours. We absolutely wanted to share that with you. In each series, we’ll include a direct link to the streaming sites so you can easily access them.
- Bandidos
We won’t write a long paragraph here, as we’ve already written two articles about this series, and we don’t want to be repetitive. However, it had to be in this list. You can read our articles on Season 1 and Season 2 to dive deeper into this series. Meanwhile, available on Netflix, the show is based on an exciting treasure hunt featuring the beautiful Ester Expósito.
- Blood and Treasure
In Blood and Treasure, when Dr. Ana Castillo is kidnapped by treasure-hunting terrorist Karim Farouk, the life of Danny McNamara, a former FBI agent and antiquities expert, is thrown into chaos. He teams up with an art thief to stop Karim and rescue Ana Castillo. The series is available on Prime Video with a trial on Universal+.
- Dive Club
Currently streaming on Netflix, Dive Club is about a diving club that searches for one of their members who disappeared while hunting for a famous treasure hidden in a shipwreck not far from where they live. Pursued by villains, the friends must step up their efforts to survive and find their friend. Dive Club stands out due to its close connection to water, which plays a much bigger role than in any other treasure hunt series. If you love diving or surfing, I think this adventure series is for you.
- Lost Treasures: The Secret of Moctezuma
Available on Disney+, the series tells the story of Jess Valenzuela, who, under DACA status, dreams of becoming a U.S. citizen. When her boss asks her to track down a client who hasn’t paid their bill in months, Jess is thrilled to begin an investigation. When she finds the client, she discovers that he is a former FBI agent who quickly puts her on the trail of a treasure. Jess soon uncovers a connection between her late father, who died when she was a baby, and this mysterious client from the storage unit. She embarks on a treasure hunt to uncover the truth and understand what happened to her father during her childhood.
- Sydney Fox, The Adventurer
From Pandora’s Box to the rarest pharaoh artifacts, Sydney Fox, a distinguished professor of history and mythology and fearless relic hunter, offers thrilling treasure hunts in every episode. The series is filled with historical anecdotes and a well-balanced, sharp sense of humor, taking us on frantic chases after priceless treasures across the world’s most renowned museums. Sydney, Nigel, and Claudia make an incredible trio, and the show is always a treat, leaving you with a smile. The series is of exceptional quality, featuring an amazing cast including Tia Carrere, and each episode is brilliantly written. The first three seasons are available on Prime Video, and it’s a series you won’t get tired of!
- +1: One Piece
I’m sure everyone knows One Piece at least by name, and even if you’ve never watched it, you probably know the story from afar. I can understand that many of you might not have jumped into the anime (due to lack of time or interest), but here’s your lucky day, because there’s a well-executed live-action series on Netflix based on the anime. The live-action series follows the treasure hunt, and you should definitely start watching it now. Available on Netflix for just over a year, jump into the adventure without delay.
That’s it! You now have our top treasure hunt series. In addition to the ones listed above, you can also check out our top list of Netflix RomComs. So choose wisely, because once you start one of these series, you’ll be hooked and won’t want to take your eyes off the screen.
