For those with a TF1+ subscription, you’re already in the loop. The others will soon find out—the finale of one of the latest original creations from TF1 has been released in advance for TF1+ subscribers, and the least we can say is that the ending will astonish many.

Brocéliande is a TF1 original series featuring Nolwenn Leroy as Fanny Legoff, a well-known biologist originally from Brocéliande. Fanny receives an anonymous package during an award ceremony where she is being honored for her work as a biologist. The sender of the package? Unknown. The contents? A sickle wrapped in fabric. A strange package, you might say. But Fanny recognizes this sickle very well—it’s the one she woke up with 20 years ago in the forest, covered in the blood of her best friend, who has been missing ever since. Unable to go to the police back then because all the evidence pointed to her, Fanny decides not to notify anyone to avoid jeopardizing her innocence. She returns to Brocéliande with a single goal: to discover who sent her the sickle and why. But her best friend, Laura Perrier, has never been found—no one knows what happened or where she is—and this time, Fanny is determined to solve the mystery. However, her return to Brocéliande is not well received by Laura’s family, who still hold her responsible. It soon becomes clear that Fanny is being closely watched, and the search for truth may turn out to be far more complex—and dangerous—than she anticipated.

Brocéliande takes us on a quest for deeply hidden truth, and if the ending is as unsettling as the mystery hovering over Fanny from the start, the show delivers twists and turns right up to the very last minute. Fanny, resilient and determined, is willing to do anything to uncover the truth about her best friend and, above all, to recover the memory she lost on the day Laura disappeared. Brocéliande flirts with the boundary between myths and reality, using the show’s intriguing aspect to its advantage. For fans of legends, the series provides a grounded story that brushes against the edges of witchcraft. Between healers, potions, and concoctions of forgetfulness, Brocéliande doesn’t cross into fantasy but will certainly appeal to fans of magic. This series, filled with a thousand twists, delivers a finale just as eccentric as the rest of its plotlines, and its final revelation will likely leave you stunned.

No need to worry for those who don’t like long series—Brocéliande is a mini-series with just 6 episodes, each 47 minutes long, available for free on MyTF1. I have no doubt that once you get drawn into the story, you won’t be able to stop watching Brocéliande, because even if Laura’s mysterious disappearance doesn’t capture your attention, one of Fanny’s students also disappears a few days after she arrives—under similar circumstances to Laura Perrier. The strangest part? In both cases, Fanny was the last person to see them, and for the second time, she has lost her memory of the evening. Why is this tragic story repeating itself, and how? I’m sure many will try to unravel this mystery, just like we did, but hold on tight because the truth is buried beneath a web of lies and secrets, and it won’t be easy to uncover without some sleuthing.

TF1 has produced a mini-series full of intrigue, easy to watch, and immersing you in its world. And this is not the first time the platform has delivered little gems without warning—they also produced Master Crime, a quirky and captivating series that takes you into the lives of students and their criminology professor, but we’ll tell you more about that another time…

For now, Brocéliande highlights the famous forest of many legends, which almost becomes a character in its own right. Even if the plot doesn’t interest you, it would be a shame not to watch a series so well-shot in such a beautiful setting. The forest is more than just a filming location—it becomes a crucial part of the series and the keeper of its mysteries. An ode to legends and fairies, Brocéliande further roots the legends of this forest and the secrets it holds. The forest itself becomes an actor, holding the secrets that torment our protagonist. This inspiring location has given way to an intriguing series, well-received by the French public, and it will surely convince you if you haven’t seen it yet. The perfect blend of reality and myth can be found somewhere near the old mill, and if you love legends, the boundary between the two quickly fades away where the blood of the fairies was spilled. So, see you soon, and don’t forget to watch Brocéliande when you get the chance!

With a heart that beats to the rhythm of distant lands, Ataraxia’s passion for travel is nothing short of ferocious. She is drawn to the unusual, the offbeat, the places where most people don’t think to go. Whether it’s a hidden alley in a foreign city or a forgotten village nestled in the mountains, she finds beauty and meaning in every corner of the world.
